Just Curious About Something

sorry,couldn't think of a better title for this post,without it being long.. i was thinking this morning,if ex-jws, who were born into the group less likely to join another religion after leaving.

vs. the witnesses who belonged to a church before joining the religion.. from my own prespective,being raised a witness,i have no intention of joining any religion.

and it seems that born-ins are less likely to join a religion after leaving the cult.. in my own experience,i think it's religious burn-out to tell the truth.

Sorry, no more labels, doctrines or religion for us. We see others who feel they have to jump right into another group to discuss bible. We want to be be christians(through our conduct) just as the bible teaches and will wait on Jesus to come again. Don't need to be labelled with another name in order to research the bible. Be very careful for there are groups that don't believe in religion or going into churches yet they still have a title attatched to them as to what they are. Will be followers of Christ only and wait on him.

while i'm glad i found this site, it has also crumbled to bits everything i've believed in my whole life.

i feel like the certainty, magic and wonder has gone out of my life.

this has left a huge hole in my soul.

Dog and New Baby

we have a 10 year old shepherd mix and we've had him since he was about 4 months old .

he is a shelter dog and we are not exactly sure of the mix.

he is the best dog i have ever owned.

Maybe while your holding your baby, at the same time pet your shepherd. Maybe he'll see there's no threat for your affections if he's included and he'll see that everytime baby is in the picture, that means he'll get some attention too:) Just an idea to make him feel a part of the family. I really hope everything works out for you. Give it some time.

We have a rotti from the pound that was abused and it's just me and my husband. No kids and this dog constantly needs reassurance. One of us always has his head under our hands or arms nudging us to pet him. We have thirty acres where he can run all over the place but he has to be between the both of us at all times. He's a real goofball.

Are you serious? First, your dog is seventy human years old! Second, babies and animals are to be watched at all times. Babies aren't aware of hurting an animal when they want to tug on its ears and tails or they go into their food dishes and get bitten. Again, it would be your fault and not the animals. So many times the humane societies have animals brought in because there's a new baby brought home. Please be a responsible pet owner and watch out for both your animal and baby. The dog is just being a dog wanting to be left alone. They also sleep more when they are alot older. And if they are not well, they will lash out. You have to respect their canine.

My wife sees the lack of love and.. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

in the past few weeks, my wife has been seeing more and more the lack of love and caring from jws.

for example, she is organizing a "princess party" for our 4 year old daughter.

a couple of the parents have expressed reservations about this since they think princesses may be "too magical" even though we know they have been to disneyworld, and watch the disney channel.

Tell her to google Why am I so lonely - Jehovah's witnesses and let her do the rest. That's what I did and voila. Jwnet will appear over and over. Get my drift?

Awe Grace, glad you'll never forget us. I know you can't remember my name when I've called in the past but as soon as I say Label Licker, then you know who I am. I get a chuckle out of that and know that it is on here where your heart is. It's right here and we know your not far from us. It reminds me of something I had read which said: Friends are like stars. You don`t always see them but you know they are always there. I will call you tomorrow. While your in the cult and being victimized by those taking the lead, Kate, you actually believe that the branch who blessed these idiots to be elders would fix the situation. It's not until your out out and stand back to see it for what it truly is, there is no hope for the person who was innocent. God, how many times we could kick ourselves for thinking we would be helped and yet were lied too over and over. Feel humiliated and stupid. Everything connected to this cult sure was a waste of time. They are bullies for sure.

Not shocked in the least. We had called bethel about what these goons did to us and bethel's Rod Jung told us we couldn't be df'd or publically reproved for discouraging young ones five years ago from pioneering. He told me to write in detail what happened to us and bring it in which we did. I brought in my transcript of my six hour judicial committee meeting and Mike in the service department said I should still be going no matter what and that they would look at it. Two months went by and I called them to see what the hold up was and Mike said Rod never told me to bring it in and that my transcript is sitting in a pile of complaints and that it could take years before they would get to mine. All because these elders were covering up a guy who was reinstated to keep his marriage together, waved a loaded gun in his wife's face, had a nonjw employee forge his wife's signature, had called the cops on his dad because he thought his dad stole from him, threated to kill his dad, has no gun license to begin with but has all these guns, had the cops called on him for domestic abuse, and so on and so on for the last two years with no discipline from these idiot elders yet because we stopped going to our meetings they did this to us and bethel didn't want to get involved. They lied to us and it came from the top down. It's a cult! Oh, and when I called Rod Jung, he turned around and hung up on my when he asked for my name. That's how they do things in this god forsaken cult.
